Ecommerce Trading Manager

This is an iconic British brand that enjoys instant recognition with a far-reaching influence of inspiring design. Known for their array of eclectic lifestyle home and furniture products, this innovative company has been at the forefront of cool for many years. Although the brand has many different faces, they are an established retailer with a number of boutique stores in key locations as well as a concession in the UK’s best department store.  

Reporting to the Head of Ecommerce, the Ecommerce Manager is a pivotal senior role for the company. Their highly successful ecommerce channel is already exceeding all expectations, growing at an impressive 20% per year but there's an appetitie for more. In this role you will be responsible for the customer experience on the e-commerce platform (Magento), managing a team of 6 across multiple territories, maximising sales by improving user journeys, product and on-site content, offering data analysis, trends and sales history to help inform marketing stories and creative direction.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day processes of product data uploads
  • Assist the Head of E-Commerce with testing, scoping, briefing of new requirements, fixes or improvements to be made via a development agency
  • Work with content and creative colleagues to deliver trading stories and promotional campaigns
  • Transferring marketing campaigns on landing pages
  • Setting daily and weekly workload priorities for the E-Commerce team
  • Work closely with the Buying and Merchandising teams to ensure new product details are effectively communicated onsite according to the launch schedule
  • Identify actionable insights from regular and adhoc KPI reports
  • Execute regular sitewalks, visual merchanidising audits to ensure accuracy and highlight bestselling lines, etc
  • Work with the Customer Service teams to identify bugs, assist with Magento-related issues with regards to order fulfilment and customer service
  • Liaise with the Digital Marketing Manager to support e-mail campaigns, social media, affiliates initiatives.

Key skills and requirements:

  • Demonstrate experience of revenue growth 
  • Experience using standard CMS and E-Commerce platforms
  • Experience using data analysis tools and communicating reports
  • Experience managing a team 
  • Advanced Excel skills 
  • An understanding of digital marketing acquisition and SEO best practice
  • Magento Enterprise experience
  • Understanding of Cross currency/ International ecommerce
  • Working knowledge of French language is an advantage
